Upcoming Changes to Website, Registration and Online Payments PDF  | Print |
News - Latest

I wanted to take the opportunity to let you know of some upcoming changes to Norwalk's website and online offerings.

First off, we will be changing our website. Our current one has been in operation for around ten years and is well past its prime. For a sneak peak at the new website, please click the link below. I anticipate going live with the new website after Thanksgiving break. We are still working some of the kinks out with pictures and etc., but its mostly there.

Secondly, we plan on offering Online registration for returning and new students later this year. We are currently beta-testing the tool that was built for us. We hope to release the new student registration portion before Kindergarten round-up so that this year's class will be the first to register for school entirely online. Returning parents and students should expect to see the returning student registration in their Parent Portal accounts soon there-after.

Thirdly, we will also be releasing (officially, not un-intentionally) the option for parents to pay for other fees in addition to lunch fees online. If you currently use our Revtrak product to pay for lunch for your student, there will soon be a change there. Eventually, you will login with your Parent Portal account credentials and be able to pay for book fees, library fines, etc. there as well. Its obviously not ready yet, but given yesterday's experience with it, I thought it might be time to communicate that out to everyone.

Finally, most of the online tools will hinge around having a Parent Portal account. In the past, depending on the grade level of your student, the Portal might have held information you could live without. In the near future, it will be the primary area we communicate with parents. So having accurate credentials to log in to the Portal will be important. If you don't have an account or can't remember how to login, please contact either myself of Diana Spieker, and we will happily set you up an account.

The folder in the link below will be updated throughout the year.  The goal is to provide all students opportunities to apply for various scholarships and contests.  While the majority of the scholarships and contests are for seniors all grade levels should check for opportunities.  Please note the Dean's Office attempts to have all information correct but realize dates, amounts, qualifications, and other information might have changed or be incorrect.
