Parents - Parent Portal

Tim Geyer, Director of Technology

Dear Parents,
Norwalk is pleased to offer a service to parents through our student management system, Infinite Campus.  This service is called Parent Portal. With Parent Portal, rather than waiting for the school to email your child’s results, you can receive them anywhere, anytime.

For the privilege of accessing the Parent Portal, every parent is expected to act in a responsible, ethical and legal manner.
The Portal is available to every parent or guardian of students within Norwalk Community Schools.
Parents are required to adhere to the following guidelines:

Parents will not share their passwords with anyone, including their children.
Parents will not attempt to harm or destroy any data on any network.
Parents will not use the Portal for any illegal activity, including violation of Data Privacy laws.
Anyone found violating laws will be subject to civil and/or criminal prosecution.
Parents will not access data or any account owned by another parent or user.
Parents who identify a security problem must immediately notify Tim Geyer, Director of Technology at (515) 981-4201.
Please do not demonstrate this problem to anyone else.
Users who are identified as a security risk to the Parent Portal or any other Norwalk Community computers or networks, will be denied access to the Parent Portal.
Review the user guidelines and system requirements before filing the online request.
Please expect one week for use to process your account.
We will be verifying your child’s data before we create your user account.
KEEP YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD SECURE.

b. Grades: Updates will vary depending on the course and building.
Parents can expect grades will be posted 2 weeks after the due date with exceptions of large projects.
Teachers will need adequate time to grade all of the students’ work and to post the scores.
Technical difficulty could also postpone grades being posted.
Please keep in mind that the scores displayed in the Parent Portal give an approximate grade determination at a specific point in time.
